And, um, I do have a bigger love of fandom than just Big Time Rush, despite my LJ's dominant love for it. Ha. Take a gander over at my tumblr and you'll see. :D

So Aarthi, aka kasuchi, is AWESOME and the greatest cheerleader in the world. I was furiously (read: getting distracted by things like LJ and Facebook and…food) working on a paper due at midnight, and to motivate me, we made a deal: for every 150 words that I’d write, she’d give me a one-sentence BTR fic. And since they were all glorious and awesome, I decided to copy and paste them into an entry.

Oh dear god.

Every winter break, I always get hit with the Korean bug and go all crazy over Kpop music and rehash over all the crushes I had when I was in middle and high school, back when I was like OHMIGOD I'LL BE AS ANNOYING AND FOBBY AS POSSIBLE. Despite this being the first year of not going to Seoul for an extended stay with my cousins, I've managed - in the LAST WEEK of my winter break - to get bit again.

And you know why? Because of this beautiful face:



That, my friends, is Kim Jong Min. He's 34, and insanely funny, and part of the three-person singing group "Koyote," which is apparently known as a hip hop group? ::scratches head:: Anyway. Koyote is made up of one girl, Shinji, who is the female vocal, Jong Min, who is the male vocal, and Baek Ga, the resident rapper. (...Yeah, I don't know either.)

And what exactly has prompted this fall back? (Coincidentally timed with their music comeback after 5, 6 years.) ALL OF THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS AND LIVE PERFORMANCES THAT YOUTUBE HAS UPLOADED. Just look!

And now I'm halfway done with writing RPS about Jong Min and Um Tae Woong, an actor that is part of a reality show, 1 Night 2 Days, which, to succintly explain, is a Survivor-esque show about 5 grown men who spend an entire day and night completing crazy deeds in order to eat and sleep relatively comfortably. It's a lot funnier than how I'm describing it.

So this is what came from me latching shamelessly onto that idea, and reading too much into the Fresno concert, and the fact that November 2 was both of their birthdays, and that Friday was my birthday and I thought that it would only be appropriate to post this (slash, finish it) as a BELATED (SO BELATED, I’m sorry!) birthday gift to Aarthi.

If you've ever watched your favorite dvds, and then found yourself eager to hear exactly what the actors, directors, writers and even production designers thought about making the episode, the movie, or whatever - you'll know sometimes the best parts of dvds are hearing the commentaries. Getting into an actor's feelings about the character they play, getting the background behind a writer's plans and metaphors, even just getting the stupid anecdotal stuff that makes you laugh, it's all good.
